Hello
everybody, in this posting, I present you a narrative text under the topic “The
Hardest Thing I Have To Do”. Why did I choose that topic? If you ask me, I will
answer, “Because I have story about that. And sometime it still be the hardest
thing I have to do ‘til now.” And here goes the story …
Wake Up in the 3/4 of Night
“Riris,
wake up! It has been so bright day!” my mum’s voice was so thundering passed my
ears, woke me up from my inconceivable dream. I rubbed my eyes with my hands,
tried to reassemble my soul to my body, then checked my clock, it was 5.30 a.m.
and “Ha?!” I got myself in panicky. I was over sleep! I jumped out from my bed,
and went out from my bedroom as fast as possible. I was late for praying
shubuh. Mashaa Allah, it was horrible morning. It would not happen anymore. I
would set three alarms for helping me to not over sleep tomorrow.
The
next morning …
“teeeet….teeeet….teeeet”
my alarm rang at 4:30 a.m. for the first alert. I denied it. I woke up only for
make it off, then went sleeping again. The second alert rang at 4.45 a.m. I
missed it. The third one rang 15 minutes after the second one, and dismissed. Finally,
“Ris, wake up!” my mum’s voice shocked me. I looked at the clock directly, it
was 5.29 a.m. oh my God! I was over sleep again. I thought maybe because this
was the first day I set the alarm, so it did not work well. Then, I decided to
set three alarms for tomorrow, and for the next tomorrow. But, the results were
the same, I was still over sleep. I thought hard to fix this problem. But I did
not find the way out of my problem, and I began to surrender.
Until
one day…
I
looked at my daddy’s cupboard. There were a lot of books inside. Then my eyes
stopped when I looked at a book entitled The Mystery of Shubuh Praying. I was
so interested with that book. I took it, then read it page by page. And I found
so powerful words, “Two rakaats of dawn is better than the world and all the
things inside and outside it.” That words was success pushed my bottom up to
make me had a willing to wake up in the dawn, ¾ of night. I wrote those words
on big paper then stuck it on the wall. I did not forget to set three alarms
for tomorrow, but I made it earlier, 3.30 a.m., 3.45 a.m., and 4 a.m. I prayed
to Allah to wake me up when dawn.
The
next morning…
“Teeeeeeet…… teeeeeeeet…. teeeeeeet”
my first and second alarms was denied by me. I just woke up for turning them
off, then continued my sleeping. “teeeeeeeet…
teeeeeeet… teeeeeet…” my third alarm rang for the first session, I still
could deny it. The second one rang at 4.15 a.m. When I looked at the time, I
suddenly remembered about the praying in ¾ of night. I tried to open my eyes
widely then read the paper that I stuck on my wall. Finally, I could wake up in
¾ of night, pray in dawn and even pray shubuh in time.
Very
